S	Sevgi Yilmaz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's worth the price to get you to your destination at a faster rate. It took 2 hours to get to Kaohsiung from Taipei. My friends took the bus and it took them 5 hours. As long as you have assigned/reserved seats, it is so comfortable. At 1490nt, you can't go wrong. It's only 40nt cheaper if you don't want to reserve seating. That means standing for the duration or taking an unoccupied seat and then having to stand up when someone comes by to collect the seat that they paid for. I think it's worth the 40nt extra to get reserved seating.
I	Ida Wahyuni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most comfortable transportation in Taiwan. Always using THSR from Taoyuan to Taipei, only need 20 minutes ride. The bus stop also good and convenient.
M	Maurice Wu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All staff of the high speed railroad company are very polite and apparently well managed and trained. I heard that train schedules are always punctual. I am only curious about how often they clean and sanitize the seat coverings. For a train station main, it has a rather small shopping mall with not many restaurants and shops due to the size and space available in this old building structures. The walkways in the underground platform are so narrow either next to the tracks or between walls and tracks that it is difficult to drag your luggage behind wading through waiting to board or unboarding passengers. One advice to traveler- give yourself ample of time to arrive at the designated train car spot at the platform before departure time.
