台中忠孝路長老教會隸屬台灣基督長老教會，成立於1957年1月3日，位於台中市市中心，後火車站附近，佔地1350坪。教會成立之初，信仰的前輩就立下一心願，以成為「模範教會」為目標，信徒亦以此互相勉勵。 台灣基督長老教會是普世基督教會及改革宗教會大家庭的一份子。它的歷史根源可以上溯至第一位宣教師1865年英國長老教會宣教師馬雅各醫生來台在南部及1872年加拿大長老教會宣教師馬偕博士在北部所展開的宣教工作。
