Thank you Ian for helping me enjoy the fantastic tea at Taiwan Shinhan's Tea! Stumbling on this place was the best accident I have made while in Taiwan: I saw a little white building on a cliff side with a nice view and it ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of this trip. There is something surreal and peaceful about having tea while looking out on the mountains of the region. To have a round of hot tea is only 200NT for a full pot l(they sell packaged tea ranging from 300NT 1750NT). I had the oolong 101, which is a lower elevation high mountain light tea but they have various higher elevations tea for those who are tea enthusiasts. I am not a expert in the matter though, but the employees are more than happy to sit and talk with you over a hot or cold cup. I would recommend this above all else if you are in Nantou county, especially if you are a foreigner who is not accustomed to drinking tea! Great view, great conversation, and amazing tea.

Great place! You can enjoy the fantastic view while having a great tea. The view can only be found in the scenic place of Taiwan. The tea is limited edition in this mountain area of Taiwan. You can feel the flower aroma and fresh-high-mountain-tree like flavor. The owner is friendly too. The environment is designed to make you feel clam and fresh.
