Thanks for the wonderful arrangement. The cycling trip and the walks were great for the whole family. Great bonding time. The Qingjing stay was so cooling n nice. Never thought we could experience such nice weather in June!! Will choose Topology if going Taiwan the next time :)

I recently planned a ""back to our roots"" trip to Taiwan for my brother's and my Taiwanese American families. My parents, who would have been the ""glue"" with our Taiwan relatives, were unable to join. So I set about looking for a tour company which would best fit our needs and work with me in the planning (in English) and understand our American expectations and perspectives. Topology fit the bill wonderfully. Our tour consultant Core was highly responsive, proposed an interesting and engaging itinerary for the adults and kids (aged 8, 10, 12, and 16), answered all of our varied questions and helped us prep for the trip. We decided on a private custom tour hitting destinations in the northern half of Taiwan and concluding with a day in Hsinchu where my family is from, where we hosted a banquet with extended family members. For half the tour, there were 8 of us, then for the 2nd half, there were 12 of us (4 TW relatives joined in). The planning was all by email and very straightforward. When we arrived for our trip, our tour guide, Vicky was a perfect fit for us. She speaks Taiwanese, English, and Mandarin. This proved invaluable as the 4 Taiwan relatives (aged 60's-70's) who joined us for part of our multigenerational tour did not all speak English, we speak a little Mandarin, and some of us speak Taiwanese (although not well), so Vicky really helped to bridge any gaps. Vicky was super prepared and always had a wet wipe handy, insect repellent, and had a first aid kit when my son fell and scratched his knees up bike riding. She was a wealth of information, describing significant facts and history about the various locations that we travelled to during the tour. She also had helpful advice about modern customs and practices and answered any questions that came up. She arranged for a surprise birthday cake for my husband as his birthday fell on one of the days we were touring around. She really went above and beyond for us. By the end of our trip, Vicky was like a member of our family, and helped MC our family reunion banquet where I addressed the group in English and Vicky translated for the audience in Mandarin. The Taiwan relatives had never done the activities that we did on the tour, and the activities gave us an opportunity to interact with them and spend time together and get to know them better, despite the language challenges. The private tour bus with driver was a much needed air conditioned respite/base for us as we toured around in the August heat, and also allowed our relatives to hop on and drive around with us the day that we spent in Hsinchu visiting family sites of historic importance. There were last minute itinerary changes due to the heavy rain when we were at Sun Moon Lake. The alternate activities were quite well received and everyone fully enjoyed the Hakka tea making experience. The best part was being able to ask Vicky about hu jiao bing and spontaneously stopping at the best vendor in Taipei minutes later and eating a hot one! My husband and brother were both really impressed! Overall, I can't say enough good things about our trip planning or the execution. By doing all the planning up front, it really took the pressure off of me and I could really relax and enjoy the trip knowing that Topology and our guide had all the details under control. We will definitely reach out to Topology and Vicky for our next trip to Taiwan!

We took a 3-day pvt. tour to Northern Coast (Yehliu), Hualien (Taroko) and Taichung (Sun Moon) and we were extremely satisfied with the services. All our cars on all 3 days were clean and spacious and our driver/guides were brilliant. Logan for Northern Coast, Alex for Sun Moon and Allen for Hualien were absolutely warm, helpful & delightful! My daughter and I recently traveled to Taiwan. As our time was limited (12 days), we chose to engage Topology Travel to help us develop an itinerary and to make in-country travel arrangements that would allow us to see and experience life on Taiwan, both the everyday and the touristic, at close range. We had a general idea of what we wanted to see and some specific requirements in terms of where we wanted to go. Our interaction with the travel advisor at Topology, Vivi Guo, both in preparation for and during the course of our travel around the island, was both helpful and uncomplicated. All of our requirements and requests were responded to promptly and appropriately. We were met at the airport and driven to our hotel in Taipei. The following morning, we left the hotel with the guide with whom we spent most of the following two weeks. The guide, Clint Liang, was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, experienced, and helpful. He was proficient in English and in many instances went well beyond the requirements of his job to ensure that our experience was positive. We circumnavigated the island, visited cities and villages, drove through mountains and along the eastern coastal route, stopped frequently at places of interest, and hiked and climbed to seldom-visited temples and pagodas. The hotels and guest houses in which we stayed were invariably clean, pleasant, and comfortable. We hoped to avoid large, popular establishments, both for meals and lodging, and our guide was knowledgeable in helping us to do this. Our experience was what we had hoped it would be; the staff of Topology had understood our intentions and responded positively. I would recommend Topology Travel without reservation.

Topology truly organized a bespoke holiday to suit our family. Impressive! The members in our family across three generations but everyone had a memorable time. They even prepared a cake as a surprise to celebrate my father's birthday and our tour guide was like a new friend for our kids! My daughter felt sad when she needed to say goodbye at the end of the trip. We will definitely recommend Topology to our friends who plan to visit Taiwan.

Sincere, authentic, and great attention to service! These are what pops to mind when my family experienced Taiwan with Topology Travel. It is said that Taiwan’s most beautiful scenery is their people... and I think Topology fully embodies this! I was deciding between a tour agency in my home country vs. Topology which was a local Taiwan agency. At first I was worried about the language barrier but I was pleasantly surprised by their standard of English. Their in-depth local knowledge shone through from start to end - from itinerary design to the actual private tour. Through it all, they also paid close attention to our needs and preferences. Our guide Joanna, came to our hotel in Taipei and took us to Alishan using high speed rail and private van for overnight tour. All aspects of the tour was fun and relaxing. Topology's use of local driver and guides let us enjoy the local culture, especially foods. This is the 2nd time I have used Topology and Joanna was our guide both times. They do an excellent job to make the touring special and customized.

The most "sincere" travel agency I've ever seen. I booked a tour to Jiufen and just expected a regular tour-around, but they offered excellent touring guide, amazing attraction that was hidden from normal tourists (ex. Jin Gua Shi), yummy food (ex. yamball) and most importantly, we made good friend with the tour guide. This my Taiwan tour so special and memorable.
