The Nanpu Water Tunnel was built in 1845. It drained Beipu Cold Spring Water from Dalin Village. The upstream water tunnel has a total length of 2509 meters. After the 921 earthquake, tunnel collapse and water leakage caused by long-term disrepair in the upper reaches of Shenzhen caused insufficient water, and the fallow area of ​​agricultural land reached more than half. In 2008, after the Bureau of Soil and Water Conservation handled the pilot program for rural regeneration in Nanpu, the villagers were conscious, and all residents decided to fallow for one year to solve the problem of Shenzhen. This community cohesion drives the Bureau of Soil and Water Conservation to bear the unshirkable burden of coordinating and integrating cross-organization efforts for the repair of Shenzhen. However, in addition to engineering problems, the dredging in the tunnel also depends on the guidance of experienced people. Fortunately, four seniors with an average age of more than 75 years old used the mining experience to step up and help, by manpower or squatting or climbing a shovel. The sludge that has been deposited for many years will eventually restore the water volume of Shenzhen.

Nanpu is formed by the tributaries of the Daping River to form the basin topography, some of which are the south-high and low-lying river terraces; the southern end is the hilly mountainous area, which is the main southern barrier of Nanpu Village, and the east and southeast are Dahushan and Dafenlin, respectively. The northern part is a relatively flat hilly area. Due to the topography of the river platform in Nanpu Village, it is convenient for water intake and difficult to flood, suitable for farming and is the main farming area.

Nanpu Shuizhen is a ditch with clear flowing water on the way to visit the century-old waterwheel. It was built in the 25th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty and 1845 AD. It has a history of more than 160 years. It is the lifeline of Nanpu Village. It irrigated more than 60 rice fields in the early days , Is also a barn in Beipu area, but with years of disrepair and population migration, now fallow farmland can be seen everywhere.
