★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is where Takeshi Kaneshiro sit down and drank the tea in the Eva Air advertisement. It has become a landmark and a symbolic site in Chishang, the cradle of the best rice in Taiwan, and the most beautiful town in East Rift Valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A proud looking tree. Worth a visit, not at all overrated in my point of view.
Takeshi Kaneshiro's presence in the advert was like a midas touch to the tourism industry of the area.
According to locals, they tried bringing in an amusement park, airports. But the local farming community wouldn't have any of those that may affect the rice of Chishang. Finally, with the advert of EVA Air, Chishang was on the map as a tourism site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is actually a tall tree in the center of the farms. Since the scenery there is great, it is relaxing to walk around there and even rent a bike. However, it is not comfortable that so many bike renting shops, attracting you that there are packing slots, eventually they just want you to park in their place and make you rent their bikes.
The traffic there should also be improved. And except for the scenery or the farms, there is nothing special.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tree is famous due to a commercial of Eva Air with 金城武. Personally I think the tree is just OK, but the view around this tree is great. This place is famous for producing rice with great quality, and the location of the tree is in the middle of the huge farmland. You can see different colors in different seasons.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tree suddenly became a tourist destination after it appeared in an advertisement from a Taiwanese airline. The advertisement starred Taiwanese-Japanese mixed actor Takeshi Kaneshiro. Thousands of people come every day just to take pictures with a tree and a bronze teapot.
In the ad titled "I See You" shows Takeshi sipping tea under a tree. In the middle of a green rice field bund. With a typical rural Taiwan road set in the mountains.
Of course the view makes all who see smitten. Including tourists who already miss the beautiful village atmosphere. This can be found in the small town of Chisang, Taitung District, Taiwan.

Offer bicycle rentals
Free toilets facilities
