2021 04 23 (Friday) [City Tour Xinbei·Dashui·Xuefu Road·Deng Highway】Religious Belief/Christianity/Tampang Church "Christian Tamkang Church" Address: No. 36, Xuefu Road, Danshui District, New Taipei City 251 A Christian Tamkang church coexisting with the Buddhist temple "Yinshan Temple". The following is excerpted from the webpage of "Tamkang Church" In 1872, Canadian missionary George Leslie Mackay landed from Tamsui and brought the gospel of Christ into northern Taiwan. Tamkang Church is honored to be in the birthplace of the gospel in Northern Taiwan, to promote salvation with all the churches, establish a church that conforms to God's heart, and undertake the missionary revival. At the end of September 2001, Tamsui Church was established in Tamsui Old Street (2nd Floor, No. 57, Zhongzheng Road), and pioneered from scratch. The church was led by preachers such as Huang Guolun, Song Muqiang, and Zhuang Yuming. By September 2005 (4th anniversary), the church moved to the current site of the nearby Tamsui MRT station (36 Xuefu Road-Yinshan Temple Cultural Building) due to the increase in the number of people. In September 2010 (9th anniversary), Zhuang Yuming took over Huang Guolun as the senior pastor, leading the church to continue to invest in community ministry, gospel festivals, and disciple building. On December 19, 2012 (11th anniversary), the church purchased land in Danhai New Town. On September 25, 2016 (15th anniversary), the new hall held a groundbreaking ceremony, and a thanksgiving service was held at the Taipei Institute of Ocean Technology. The new church was grounded on February 20, 2017, and the church is scheduled to be dedicated in 2021 to continue to participate in God's revival project in Tamsui, a city of evangelical missions. It is expected that Glory will be dedicated in the second quarter of 2021. At present, the church gathers about 1,000 people, and develops five-fold ministry training, focusing on the unity of the truth and the diverse and appropriate development of disciples. The church planting team sent by the Tamkang Church has established independent churches in various parts of northern, central and southern Taiwan, relying on God to lead people to the Lord with all kinds of wisdom.
