★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I liked the walk up and one of my favorite things is that there’s multiple trails up to the house. Worth it just for the view but also got to learn a bit about Swinhoe, the first British official here and novice naturalist. Can get high tea here as well if you’re prepared to spend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old building used to be the British Consulate locates on the hill at Sizihwan. Nice view for sightseeing the latest sunset of Taiwan. Also nice to watch harbor view and ships anchored near sea.
If you have half day visiting, suggest you go down to beach.

The museum downstair is so so but the one up in the mountain is really nice.
the scenery is so stunning, you can see the whole city and the gulf too.
The entrance ticket can be used for 25NTD discount at the cafe too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice historic building with great views lovely photo opportunities and a tea room. It takes a bit of steep walk before you emerge onto a temple at the to of the hill go beyond that and you’ll find the ex British consulate. It’s not a particularly big building and only one room is a museum, but it is attractive and has spectacular views of the harbour. Head down the other side to the other half of the site which contains full sized models and informative signs. This is a great way to understand some of the more complex bits of Taiwanese history. Note that the 25NT off in the store is a discount (can’t remember how much you have to spend) and if you opt for the cruise ticket this is also a discount (the harbour cruise leaves at 2:30 pm daily).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like good views, this place is a must visit. Watching the sunset from here was amazing. On the other side of the building you have the panaroma view over the harbour area of the city. Entrance fee was 99NTD. There's also a Café/Restaurant. Well worth it.
