Best Historical landmark in Taiwan

W	Wai Leung Choi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A historical landmark, the former British Consulate in Kaohsiung, admission fee of NTWD$99 per person is required. Most people go for a tea set at the up hill restaurant, the view there was nice and it can have a view of sunset of the harbour.
J	Jeridyn Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Admission fee is TWD99. Not much to look at in terms of exhibits. There are 2 small shops selling English tea and some small souvenirs. You need to walk up multiple flights of stairs to get to the top where there is quite a nice view overlooking the harbour.
E	Everest Destination on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit, you learn about the history of Kaohsiung harbour, the place have a great view, I suggest to go at the end of afternoon to evening, the lights gives to the place a great atmosphere. Possible to drink a café while enjoying the view of the harbour. Do not hesitate to have a look

They turn most of the area into souvenir ships and a tea place. I wish I can see more of the inside of how it looked and decorated during that period of time.

There’s very little in terms of exhibits, a couple of rooms, wax figures, and framed pictures/ articles. Gift shops and cafes occupied more of the space, and both are overpriced. The only enjoyable part was the view at the top of the hill, but you could climb the hill without entering the consulate area. Would not recommend, especially since it requires additional travelling to.

J	Jeff Foster on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fully recommend the visit and wonderful to experience and learn of yesteryear from when the British first arrived at Takow and their preceedings along with helping the locals medically for example. The view from the top was outstanding overlooking Kaosiung and the harbour.
