The Cinnamon Tree 肉桂捲 - Lane 49

From the perspective of an American: It could be because I'm spoiled by Oma and Rolling Rolling (the best cinnamon rolls I've had, so far, in Taipei), but I found it just "eh" here. I couldn't quite tell if it was real Ceylon cinnamon (it's usually really obvious). To be fair, I had a Baileys one (the flagship flavor seems to be short supplied - was surprised this wasn't kept in stock). I bet the (out of stock) vanilla glaze one would be way better. However, imo, it was too soft (and tiny for the price) and not dense enough. More Japanese style, sorta airy. I did enjoy the sticky bun though, altho very Taiwan style (walnuts instead of the traditional pecan, which killed the potential flavor combo sticky buns are known for when compared with pecans). Friendly staff, but I think I'd have to go with Rolling Rolling next time. Staff should secretly scope them out for upgrades ? Swap walnuts for pecans, don't overmix batter to keep it thicker, make it slightly bigger. Raise price if need, but you shouldn't have to since it's already higher than avg.

Overpriced and stale. One would imagine that one would get freshly baked rolls for having gone to the store half an hour after opening time. Instead, for me, that meant getting the previous day's leftovers. I think it's unreasonable to expect customers to reheat the product for "freshness". At their prices (or any price really) I don't think it's reasonable to sell products that taste stale.

It tastes and smells incredible! Both the staff and the boss was really nice. We even bought some more to take home because it was really good.

The best cinnamon rolls shop in town? The cinnamon roll was delicious! It was soft and the sweetness was just right („• ֊ •„) Very recommended! (Even brought one home for breakfast ??)

The buns taste SO GOOD!!! I’m super glad I got them and enjoy the awesome buns as Christmas breakfast! Brings up some nice memories in states! Tried baileys cream and sticky one……both amazing:)!

It's wonderful to have a tasty cinnamon bun with a reasonable price in Taipei city. Get a $20 discount with your student ID card! Cream bun is highly recommended! ?
