The most well-preserved Hakka historical building in Pingtung City, "Henan Hall with the Qiu Surname", after more than a year of restoration, its splendor has reappeared. Qiu's house adjacent to Zhongzheng Middle School is the residence of the family of Qiu Yuanshou, the second son of Liudui Anti-Japanese Prime Minister Qiu Fengyang. It was built in CE 1915 and completed in 1918. It is a horizontal courtyard house with two halls and two horizontal lines. Zhongye was once faced with the fate of being demolished. After the efforts of many people, CE was renovated into a local art museum in 2000. During CE 2003, the Pingtung County Government registered it as a historical building. The whole building has a compact and rigorous appearance, and the interior is meticulously and exquisitely decorated. The bright red tiles are matched with the simple stone-washed walls. The simple traditional Hakka architecture is added with gorgeous decorative style, which has become the architectural feature.
