The Richforest Sun Moon Lake

Good location and view! Clear and green hotel!

Very nice Tourist Hotel with so good location and service. All seaview rooms have a spectacular balcony. In contrast to other reports, we found rooms and breakfast very clean and tidy.

This is probably the best hotel in the area. It looks like a log cabin. The logs are clearly facades but it's stylish and stands out compared to the other hotels. The view of the lake from the window was great. I didn't hear my neighbors. The room was renovated and spacious. The best part was the breakfast buffet. There was a wide selection of tasty foods. The location is great b/c it's near the less traveled section of the bus route so we managed to hit the attractions there first thing in the morning before we left. It's also within walking distance to the gondola station. There were some problems. The carpet was really dirty. The place smells humid. There was only one hanger. There was also suppose to be two free boats across the lake daily, but when I asked about taking it, they said it wasn't offered that day. Overall, there were a lot of positives and I'd come back.

Second time at this hotel. Great service, and great view. I booked the lake view room and there's nothing better than waking up to such a spectacular view. So peaceful, a change from the city life.

Just spent a couple of days here. Beautiful scenery. This hotel is like ski chalet minus the snow. It sits on Sun Moon lake and the view! Wow, it's something else. Take a look at the pics and you'll understand. Only problem was complementary breakfast time, too many people, too crowded.

Only the scenery of facing the lake is magnificent. The breakfast is cold and the utensils are dirty. The hotel is old, carpet has stains.The price does not match the service and the facility.

Services are incredible, staffs are friendly and always provide useful, constructive feedback:)) Magnificent lake scenery just in balcony and we had a great time during here. Room is big and cozy. We’ll definitely visit this hotel again❤️

The hotel is constructed from camphor wood and that wonderful odor permeates the whole place. Service is first-rate and staff speak English. The view from the lake-facing rooms and the restaurant are directly at the waters edge, providing an unobstructed view of the water.
