went here for lunch set 6/2022. ambiance was great, view of 101, cute boutique style hotel. personally i dont like beef wellington or the chicken, its usually too heavy for me, but they were able to substitute with a delicious seafood pasta. its on the pricey end but the quality and service is definitely there

I wanted to like the place so bad because of the trendy interior and overall brand image, however food was extremely mediocre and just not up to the hype. I’m trying to piece together what I had for dinner but I really can’t…. nothing really stood out. The one dish I dislike the most was the fried chicken; the chicken itself was nice and juicy, but the sauce is just… bland and unique? However, the overall ambiance and service are nice which made the whole dining experience a little bit better.

I’d like to say The Tavernist the most impressive experience recently. With the deco, vibe, menu of the chef’s journey and of course the food. One city, one story, good presentation strategy to create the imagination.

Not a fan of Indian spice, should have studied harder before booking . The concept is rather creative though , 1 day trip with the chef. However, probably there’s a huge difference between the chef and myself in terms of tastes. Fish is perfectly seasoned, but it was grilled too much that the skin is burned. Pastry is oily enough , adding the foie gras didn’t really add any color to it as both are strong in flavor.

Unique cuisines with special herbal flavors and seasoning. It’s a worth giving it a try even it’s a bit pricey. Not sure how often the restaurant renew their menus, better to ask prior to the reservation. Otherwise we might end up having the same dishes as last time.
