The tree house 樹屋旅店

The room (#302) we got was spacious and clean with a hardwood floor. The bathroom was almost as big as the room itself! Ok, maybe not that big but it's big enough to put 10 people in it with lots of room to spare! The shower experience was just heavenly out of this world. It was so good that I didn't want to end! Breakfast is included, which is always a plus. I highly recommend this place!

+ Location - Breakfast was of poor quality and not much choice - 'hot' food was cold even immediately after it had just been taken out. - Food was not replenished quickly enough at breakfast and dishes were not cleared away very quickly even though guests were waiting to sit down and eat. There needs to be more space for guests to eat breakfast. - I had my breakfast cleared away before I had even started eating it, let alone before I had finished it! When I complained, I barely received any kind of apology. - In general, staff were not particularly attentive or friendly, which is very unusual for Taiwan, where people are usually unfailingly polite and helpful. - It took ages for water to get hot in my shower. I even had to call reception to ask about it as it took so long, I thought that the water supply wasn't working properly. - Customer service after leaving hotel was terrible. I inquired about lost item in my room and received no reply until second email three weeks later. My friend who phoned up on my behalf also had no response despite them promising to get back to him. Very poor.

This hotel really isn’t bad. It’s very clean and modern, comfortable too. The rooms are spacious and we had a balcony in ours. However, there are multiple downsides: 1. The breakfast is bad. I mean bad. The so-called croissant is dry and crumbly. The fries were OK but the outside of them were a bit too hard. 2. The rooms (at least our room) were very dim and even though we had a balcony, it was literally less than 1 metre away from the opposite building. 3. I also felt that some of the decorations were unnecessary. But overall, I think that this is a pretty good hotel except for the few downsides.

Loved the ambience of the entire hotel. Room was nice, however no view (this is what was booked). Room seemed to be around proofed as well. The pool was amazing (photos attached), and breakfast was a mixture of Asian and Western which was nice.

Really enjoyed our stay here, we had a double room on the first floor. Room was clean, they provide slippers and provide daily water bottles. the staff are friendly and speak good English. We used the pool everyday and had the pool to ourselves each time for at least an hour, it was divine. It was quite clean each time we used it. Breakfast is the same standard as most we've experienced in Taiwan. Eastern type with rice dishes or noodles, toast, milk tea and chips and nuggets (which they think covers the Western appetite?). Location is good, its walking distance to the metro and Liuhe night market.

Hotel needs an overhaul. From stained walls to smelly sheets. Its also quite funny because I booked a room with a window only to know that the window was facing a concrete wall 1 feet from the ledge. Not to mention the noisy air-condition unit which the staff sent a maintenance guy @2am in the morning only to tell us that there’s nothing he can do. Hopefully the people in charge will consider renovating the place.

Nice staff but hotel needs an overhaul. Stained carpets and scratched surfaces in public areas. Rooms show some wear as well. First room had damp smell but we were able to request a new room which was good. Beds were generally clean and comfortable. Fresh bottled milk at breakfast is nice, but overall not worth getting up for breakfast. For the price, it can be a good choice depending what room you get.

We stayed here during the 228 weekend. We were lucky to have booked a four persons room for a little under 5000 (which is a fair price for such q busy weekend). The hotel checkin reception in on the third floor, rooms on the fifth. The hotel also provided free parking in one of the Times Parking nearby. One con is that the hot water takes a while to heat up. Otherwise its definitely great CP value for the pleasant experience we had.
