As a TLI student who has taken around 100 classes and also studied elsewhere, I'd said the TLI Textbook is not up to par with 時代華語. It's more bland and dictionary-like. Their app also needs a lot of work and in the modern age they really need be embracing LMS, and providing more online resources, especially for what they are charging! Classes are overpriced than the standard ~$400 NTD rate per hour in Taiwan, supposed school events are full of sponsorships and the "flexibility" for students is at the cost of teachers. That said, the teachers and staff are great it's more of a management issue.
