Tranquilo Hostel

I had good experience in Dulan with Tranquilo hostel. The view from the balcony in 2nd floor is cute and peaceful, the air is so fresh. The hostel is clean, reasonable price, the owner is super funny and nice. We also had a camp fire on the beach at night.

When I go to a hostel I am looking for two things; A bed to sleep in and a so called hostel vibe. This place has both. The bed is nice and the hostel vibe is one of the best I ever experienced. The owner really knows how to create this chill tropical vibe that you are looking for in a surfing place like Taiwan. The staff speaks both English and Chinese and are very much willing to help you with organizing your holiday trip! If you go to Dulan, and you're looking for both a comfortable bed and nice vibe, this is the place to be!

Tranquilo hostel is a great spot for chilling, especially if you are on a group travelling with friends, this would be a perfect destination for you! I have been there twice myself and I extremely loved it. This hostel is perched in a very convenient location: There are 24-hour convenient stores like 7-11 and Family mart, and are all just a stone away. In one side, a five-minute walk could land you to the rocky beach, which is also a fantastic setting for a little bonfire, with all the logs of woods and stones along the seaside! On the other side, there is a magnificent mountain, a 10-minute scooter ride could take you to a vantage point along the hill, to enjoy the flora and fauna of Taitung. You can also come across some beautiful ancient buildings on your way to the top. Of course! As a nature lover myself, this experience is second to none and I am definitely can't wait to come back again!The hostel is nicely decorated with colourful ancient Spanish murals, which provides that sense of energetic-bustling feeling you always need when entering a new place.Generally, the beds are very clean and comfy , and not to mention the dark-blue bedding and dividers makes it perfect to afford you a sense of privacy. Honestly, the owner and everyone here is really nice and they are all more than willing to recommend some beautiful landmark places nearby! As someone far from the other part of the world, I will be forever grateful to have met kind people like you! Finally, many thanks to Mason and Moca for rocking this place and also for introducing Taitung to us.Looking forward to seeing you all again in our next visit!! Till then, ADIOS!!

Loved this little hotel with a stylish design! We were staying at the 3rd floor. The view from the our room and from the rooftop are so great! This is a place where you can come hang out and meet friendly and cool fellow travelers. The owners were very kind and helpful. It has a friendly vibe and I feel at home right away. ???

This place is awesome!! They provide good service and hospitality. The owner speaks both Chinese and Mandarin, willing to help you for some local hints, such as nearest tourism spot, hiking spot and breakfast place. Located on the main road of Dulan, it is very easy to access both using public (bus) and private (car, motorcycle) transportation. In front of it is a big 7/11 store to provide all your daily essentials. Also near to police station, breakfast and lunch restaurant and ex sugar factory (that recently turned into handcraft shop). They have plenty room and bunk beds, I recommend you the 3rd floor room where you can access the balcony and rooftop directly. Try to climb on it and behold to view the line up of massive mountains and vast coastline. The common room pretty cozy, worthwhile to spend some time in here when you got something to work on. Yeah, they also serve coffee to start your day. So, to sum it up I can say that this place is bang for one's buck!!

I stayed for two nights, the owners were excellent! Especially Moca, in particular, was really helpful in answering all of my questions and meeting my needs. Thank you so much for these great times. The hostel is convenient. There’s a 7-11 in the opposite of the hostel. Plus, the hostel is cozy and has lovely decorations with small trees, I love the hostel’s rooftop. It has a stunning huge Mountain that’s you can see! I love it!

The grand opening of this amazing hostel has been one of the biggest blessing for people like me who like to travel around and meet new friends.
