Travelers Inn Tiehua cultural and creative Hall - Taitung City

Second Stay review: decided to return a second time to visit the city of Taitung and have a good look. Returned to this place due to the previous stay, location and price. Unfortunately received a room with a non closing bathroom door, broken shower and a bed right underneath the air conditioner. Asked to change out the room but was told there were none available, even thought a tour group checked in later. After a bit of hassle the next morning, changed to a slightly smaller but much more normal room with a bathroom door that actually closes. Unfortunately, the next morning, was woken up by the smell of cigarette smoke coming from the exit stairwell (seems like employee was smoking) The location for this hotel is spot on, but it’s a tired place and you can get a better deal at another hotel. First stay review: Needed a place to stay on New Years Eve, since choices were slim, their last remaining was a hostel style bunk for 900ntd (6 beds / room). You get a locker, slippers, bottled water, towel, cup, tea bag and a power outlet. Bed was very comfortable and there’s also free tea in the lobby, staff was very friendly (especially since they were so busy, kept their composure quite well; New Years celebration was happening right outside the front of the hotel). There’s a KFC across the street and most of the downtown area of Taitung is all in walking distance, there’s also the public shuttle bus service to the train station (approximately 6km away) right in front of the hotel. So yes, the only shock is the distance to the train station, which used to be near the hotel, but they built a new one far far away.

Expect the mattress to be very hard, the staff was helpful and accommodated by adding sheets but it didn't help much. The worst part was someone was smoking in another room and the smoke kept entering my room.

Hotel is located just beside the Bus Station. At the back is the Railway Art Village and Container Shops and Cafes. Amazing Location! Getting here is very easy from the Train Station as thre Bus' last stop is the bus station. Check In was fast and efficient. Room was comfortable and clean. The Aircon seemed to start rather slow and i thought it was broken and when it did finally blow air it was a bit noisy. Breakfast was Good! Was very happy with this Hotel and will definitely consider staying there again in the future. Fare from Train Station to Hotel is $25/person by Bus and by Taxi around $200.

I am used to sleep on a harder bed already compare to my hubby, but I know I can't sleep on the camp ground, which is how hard the bed feels. To solve the problem in the middle of night, I ended up lining up 2 pillows vertically so I can just sleep on the two pillows. Before booking the hotel, my suggestion is lie on your floor for at least 30 mins (u can still put ur head on the pillow) . And if u still feel fine afterwards, then go ahead to book this otherwise amazing hotel!

Located (next to the old Taitung train station) some distance away from the new Taitung train station but still surrounded by the busier part of the town. It's ideal for someone looking for a clean room, free breakfast, or just to sleep. Generally quiet, can hear a bit if someone from outside is shouting on top of their lungs. Within walking distance of the night market and typical stores within a city center. Room is small and don't expect a great view (not meant to be that kind of hotel). The hotel looks like a converted building so it has a bit of industrial feel to it. Fairly typical of a hotel stay (except for the room size). Clean with pretty much everything you need in the room such as beverage, toothbrushes (it's odd I noticed this but the brushes are really great), comb, shower cap, indoor sandale, fridge, shampoo, and even soft water system to make your skin nice and smooth. Good for a proper night rest.

The room was spacious for four people and a toddler. The inn even prepared a "little kitchen" for the toddler to play with. All necessities were provided. Design of the room is simple with a great night view (fairy lights decoration outside). The television is also convenient as it can rotate from the bed side to the sitting room side. Although room is spacious, the bathroom is quite tight in space and costrophobic. I would recommend the breakfast to have more vegetarian options.

A very convenient place as located next to Tiehua village, a main local attraction. It’s also very close, about 15 min walk to vendors selling Taiwanese famous food, like fried chickens, stinky tofu, and bubble tea. Guests can rest on a sweet lobby, where juice and coffee are provided. However, room space is very limited, and there is no separation between shower and bathroom floor. The only flaw is only the one elevator is provided, so check-out rush hours can be a little annoying as you have to wait.

Great location, spacious and clean rooms, good breakfast, and fantastic service. Not the most amazing hotel, but the value for money is excellent!
