Best Hot pot restaurant in Taiwan

A	Adrian Covert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like their food but I've had unusually bad experiences with the service here the past few visits. They will not split a bill. That's a big problem when I'm travelling for work and need to pay for my portion separately. Also they don't have knives available at all. Some of the meat and veggies are in big pieces (especially for kids). We asked repetadly for a knofe or sissors and they don't have any such thing available. They do have high chairs but they are old style with no straps and a table part that swings down and can pinch a little ones fingers. Not really family or kid friendly at all.

The half spicy / half sour pot is a local favorite. Above average service and nearby parking. Well designed interior, mixing Chinese tones with modern architecture. The Cons: Few dipping sauce choices. Difficult to get a reservation on the weekends.

J	Jayce Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ding Wang is my go to for mala hot pot in Taiwan. Regardless of which branch I visit, the food quality is always there and service is always good. Mainly I go for the duck blood coz that's something I can't get at home, it's tender and oh-so-juicy, one of best around. The tofu is good too and the seafood is always fresh. This is a place which I will visit over and over during my Taiwan trip.

T	Tae Rapee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved this place. We had only 90 minutes to enjoy the hot pot which was enough for 4 of us to enjoy both 2 kinds of soup, tofu soup and sour cabbage soup. Personally, I prefered tofu soup becuase it was a little spicy. Order more of slided beef, dumplings and meatballs, and enjoy them with unlimited supply of the soup and plain rice. We were stuffed after the full 90-minute session. Some staff members speak english very well, so there will no problem for tourists to the meals here. Bottomline, it's a must.

After the food safety incidents a few years back, my Taiwanese friend recommended other hotpot restaurants in Taichung... but none can match the food and service quality of 鼎王. They serve the best duck blood jelly! I particularly love this branch, as compared to their other branches in Taichung. Call in advance to avoid disappointment.
