Tashan is one of Xiaobaiyue and the highest peak of the Alishan mountain range. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the original stone monkey not far away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 塔山步道全長3.7公里，前2公里和鐵道併行，較好走，過了2公里的平台後，階梯一路向上，尤其最後500公尺走得氣喘吁吁，登頂的觀景台不大，景致不錯，可看到塔山奇岩，沿途若有陽光，灑落林間也很值得駐足拍照，回程如果想縮短距離，過平台可下切至鐵道走回入口。
The total length of Tashan Trail is 3.7 kilometers. The first 2 kilometers are parallel to the railway. It is easy to walk. After passing the 2 kilometers platform, the stairs go all the way up. Especially the last 500 meters walk out of breath. The viewing platform to the top is not large, and the scenery is good. You can see the strange rocks of Tashan Mountain. If there is sunshine along the way, it is also worth stopping to take pictures in the forest. If you want to shorten the distance on the return journey, you can cut down through the platform to the railway and walk back to the entrance.
