This hotel is quite new as just been renovated.
Glad to stay here as it is within the walking distance to Shilin night market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If the ambiance and atmosphere matter to you, this is a beautiful restaurant with big space and friendly staffs, but nothing worth for the food and money (Taipei is a city full of delicious food, here is not one of them). The worst are: Taiwanese kimchi $280NTD - no, too sweet and tastes really not fresh, you could def get a plate way better than this in a local restaurant even for free. BBQ Combination 燒味三拼 $980NTD is the worst in my entire life!! (Not kidding) How could you make BBQ combination this bad taste and the oil they used makes me sick?! I love BBQ combination and I always try them in every restaurant I go where serve it. This is beyond words I’d describe. We couldn’t finish it at all. The dimsum thing, looks pretty, but where did you buy it? - Highlight was the kale, really fresh and delicious, thanks to the farmers!
Don’t pretend it’s a high-end restaurant just because you’re cooking in a 5 stars hotel. Please have some moral responsibility to your customers, who support you. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful restaurant, friendly service and good if not exceptional Cantonese basics (but no dim sum). Cubed steaks, stir fried pork and chicken fried rice were very good, egg yolk fried shrimp less so.

This new chef is Taiwanese now, no longer Hong Kong style menu. FYI
