Wangxiang is near Dongpu on Xinzhongheng Highway. Most people don't know it. From here, you can look up to Yushan, the highest peak in Taiwan. The people of Wangxiang are proud of it. The aboriginal tribal customs are worth a visit. On the ancient mountaineering road, there are arranged stairs in the front section, which are easy to walk and stroll. Along the road are pure beech forests, with occasional camphor trees. In the early spring, red sprouts are emerging. It is really beautiful to see the forest from a distance.

The Wangxiang tribe is located on the west side of the middle reaches of Chen Youlan River in Xinyi Township. The residents are mainly Bunun people, with less than 200 households. You can clearly see Yushan from any angle in the tribe, so it has the reputation of "opening the door to see Yushan". The ancestral home of the Bunun is located on both sides of the central mountain range. During the Japanese occupation period, they were forced to migrate in large numbers by the Japanese. Visited in mid-March, this tribe decorated with colorful flowers was a pleasant surprise. Tribal ingenuity and artistic charm can be seen everywhere. On weekdays, there are fewer tourists, and there are more slow smiles. Special thanks to the warm black dogs and white cats for making me feel at home. By the way, there are not many shops in the tribe that are open on weekdays.
