★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to go for a short 20-30 minute hike. The view from this platform is great on a clear day. You can see the whole city from the platform. A short five minute walk up the road and you can see the part of the city close to the Taiwan Straight. Another 5 minute walk and you can see the ostriches at the Taichung City Animal Shelter. Worth a visit for sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A free to visit location on top of the mountainside. It has a pretty legit view for night viewing the Taichung city and is a great place for couples to hang out. The best suggestion for me is to bring your camera, along with some food and drinks, and stay there for like an hour looking at the view. When visiting at summer though, remember to bring mosquito repellent. Else you will be itchy all over no more than five minutes
