一來就剛好趕上目送火車，因為鐵軌沒有任何阻隔，不論你的拍照技術跟硬體設備是什麼等級，都能拍出很棒的照片或影片。
火車、鐵軌跟鐵橋各種懷舊感十足的元素在這裡都可以一次拍攝。
附近還有瀑布跟步道可以去走走，一個站下車可以享受很多不同的感覺，有來平溪線真的可以安排長一點的時間逛逛這裡，

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 這真是一個小小小站、連站名都非常非常復古、附近有一個望古瀑布才會吸引遊客在此下車、有一次看一個日本電視台來台灣拍節目、找1個小車站、有人會每天早出晚歸坐火車上學或上班？而且晚上一定要回來、结果等了3或4天、才碰到一個是瑞芳高工的學生、幾乎每天乘坐火車去上學！現在那個學生應該是上大學了！不知道還有沒有人繼承衣鉢每日乘坐火車來回望古？而且這裏有一個阿姨在賣襪子、希望遊客來購買、有跟阿姨買了一雙！她說上帝祝福你、聽了真開心！哈！
