1894年左右宜蘭人許裕遷來到哩咾以務農為生，於海邊撿到國姓爺神像回家中供奉， 1948年哩咾地區有開採煤礦，在挖到煤礦後感恩順利開採，為酬神答謝，在哩咾建了一座廟，便為哩咾威遠廟的由來。
後來因為要在哩咾地區建禮樂煉銅廠，便於1976年遷移至水湳洞現址。
水湳洞威遠廟居高臨下，是拍攝基隆山,陰陽海,十三層遺址的絕佳拍攝點~

Around 1894, Xu Yu, a native of Yilan, came to Lichao to earn a living as a farmer. He picked up a statue of the Chinese surname God at the beach and went home to enshrine him. In 1948, there was a coal mining in Lichao area. The god thanked him and built a temple in Licha, which is the origin of the Licha Weiyuan Temple.
Later, it was easy to move to the current site of Shuinandong in 1976 because of the construction of a Liyue copper smelting plant in the Lidong area.
Weiyuan Temple in Shuinan Cave is condescending, it is an excellent shooting spot for Keelung Mountain, Yinyang Sea, and 13-story ruins~
