Lukang Wenwu Temple is quite special. It is a three-in-one traditional cultural and educational sacrifice space. It is a large building complex composed of three bodies: Wenci in the middle, Wenkai Academy on the left, and Wumiao on the right. The temple, shrine and academy are built in one place. , One word horizontally, civil and military side by side, can be described as a rare and unique combination in Taiwan. Walking into the red brick trail of the Wenwu Temple, there are coconut trees standing high into the sky, and the temples lined up to form a beautiful photographic picture. The Wu Temple was built in 1812 in a dual-entry belt and two-compartment layout. The main color is almost red. The statue of Guan Sheng Emperor enshrined in the Wu Temple is a sculpture of a famous teacher in Fujian, which is awe-inspiring. The Wu Temple is also the only temple with continuous incense among the three buildings. Its appearance is preserved and simple, with its wooden structure and bucket walls still intact. The plaque "Solid in the sky" above the main hall of the Wu Temple, Xianfeng 4th year (AD 1854) Year) was established by Luxi Public. The main hall of the Wu Temple worships Emperor Guan Sheng, the left side of the niche accompanies Prince Guan Ping, the right side accompanies General Zhou Cang, and also worships Guanyin Bodhisattva, Lord of the Land, God of Wealth and so on.

The Lord of the Wu Temple worships Guan Shengdi. It was proposed by the rich gentleman Su Yuncong at the time, and was jointly built with Xue Zhiliang, the government and the people, with donations, and was the patron saint of Lukang merchants. Over the years, local people have made great contributions to renovations. Wenkai Academy was built later, and the chief priest was Zhu Zi (Zhu Xi) in memory of Ming Tai servant Shen Wenkai (named Wenguang), who first opened the atmosphere to teach in the early days of Taiwan and contributed a lot to Taiwan’s education work, so it was named Wenkai Academy.

The Wu Temple and Wen Temple (mainly serving the Emperor Wenchang), which are dedicated to Emperor Guan, are adjacent to each other, and they are both listed as monuments today. Generally referred to as (Lugang Wenwu Temple). ?There is a small and medium-sized parking lot on the right side of Wu Temple across the fence. On non-holidays, there are parking spaces and the toilets are right next to it. ?There are lanterns in the square in front of the temple for tourists to watch, and the lights must be beautiful at night. Not a lot of people on non-holidays. Together with the one on the left (Wenkai Academy), you can visit three places at a time.

The temples of literature and martial arts. There are only two ways to get up the social ladder in China in the past: to serve as officials or to serve in the military.

A heritage site worth a visit. The scholar and martial art temples were constructed in 1811, while the school and library were constructed later in 1824. The architecture and garden is typical of southern China in the Ching Dynasty. Very well preserved. Can spend a few hours here to slowly walk through the whole compound and appreciate the architecture. There is also an exhibition inside.
