According to the explanation from the staff, the artificial floating island is actually just spreading mud on a raft, planting native aquatic plants and placing it on the water, which can have the functions of ecology, water purification and bank protection. At present, there are red-crowned water hens and white-bellied hens in the wetland of Yanzidi, which are the star animals here! If you are lucky enough to see them hiding in floating islands or swimming on the water, you will definitely find them really lovely~ The ecology of the wetland is getting richer and richer. Many water birds will come here for a visit, and bad starlings will rush up. Egret, bad! There are fish in the pond, water birds on the pond, and all kinds of plants by the pond. The Yanzidi wetland also plays an important role, that is, the "mixed flood detention pond", which is part of the drainage system of New Taipei City! It is connected to the China-Hong Kong large platoon, which can accommodate extremely heavy rainfall, so if the water level of the large platoon's collection tank culvert exceeds 1.3 meters, water will automatically flow in through the stagnant flood channel. It is a magical wetland with flood prevention function. In addition, the main wetland in the Yuzhaidi wetland is mainly flood detention, supplemented by ecology!
