★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice bookstore in a convenient place very close to the MRT. I was not able to find any books that interested me in English, though. As with any used book store, it can always be hit or miss with the selection but it is always fun browsing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite second hand bookstore in Taiwan! Probably because I love the smell of second hand books but am functionally illiterate in the local language. Whose manages to stock up on a decent selection of international books and has a pretty decent buy back program.
If you're looking to catch up on some reading and looking for some well loved books, I strongly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one or the best secondhand bookstores in all of Taipei City. They have books in many languages and on a large variety of subjects. You can basically find everything here from academic books to children books. Sometimes, there are real Marvel's here. The best thing is that you never know what you are going to get, so every visit is exciting. They also offer coffee and tea. I highly recommend this bookstore!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bookstore located next to Shilin MRT station, it specializes in selling used books. The interior is quiet small but it has great ambience. There are plenty of second-hand social science, history, and literature books inside. The second floor also sells literature, young adults fiction, and social science books in English as well as some Japanese books too. Prices are not that expensive, mainly around 100-200 TWD a book.

This tiny 2nd-hand bookstore manage to offering an option for book lovers. Where you can still flip through the pages before deciding bring it home or not.
Most of the collections are in Chinese. Lots of variety. Purchase over $500 per order entitled you to become a member and can enjoy further member discount in the future purchase as well as birthday special discount.
It's a step away from shihlin subway station.
