★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I seriously hated every min that I spent here. Not because the food isn’t great, but the freaking noisy atmosphere and the poor service. Tables were set extremely close to each other, I could literally hear other people’s conversation and nasty chewing sound. Service is freaking slow and so is our food. None of the waiters seemed to care enough to explain the dishes and even forgot to serve us water. Smh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had a wonderful dinner at Wild Donkey. The quality has been superb each visit. All staff are warm and welcoming, food is excellent, atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed. The lobster salad with pineapple was delicate and flavorful. The sautéed prawns were so fresh and buttered to perfection. Sides were mouthwatering. A wonderful dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great restaurant overall. An absolute must visit dinner venue in Taipei city. I have been overwhelmed by every single dish I had and each one of them has been done to perfection. The chef ‘s uses not only the local ingredients but self grown or self picked ingredients are just wonderful. You taste the seasonal flavors in every bite. Not one dish that I don’t like at all. Best of all, price is ridiculously reasonable too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great restaurant if you’re on a date, or simply gathering with friends and family. I don’t think the food is that great, it is special and in a sense, good quality and well designed, but some of the dishes are a bit too heavy on the salt. Do keep in mind though they refresh their menu everyday, so probably I was just unlucky.
I will say that the decor and atmosphere is great and you’ll feel great just sitting in here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We celebrated a family member’s birthday party here, the food was not bad but the restaurant was under staffed on the day we came. We ended up helping our waitress with water and cleaning the table. There is only one restroom, feeling kinda awkward to have to wait by someone else’s table for the restroom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked this fine dining French style food restaurant as a special birthday dinner . Nothing very special in the end. My partner’s fish tasted of nothing despite all the fancy cooking methods. Our starters were again very bland and ordinary. My lamb was pretty good and the replacement Chiken dish was also much better. There was only one dessert offered ( after asking) and no espresso coffee - very odd for a “French” style restaurant. Overall very disappointing with no apology from the staff or even a small price reduction or offer of a complimentary dessert or glass of wine or waiving of the service charge. Overall very disappointing. Taipei is very competitive and there are far better alternatives. Offering French style poor “ customer service “ is not recommended in high service oriented Taiwan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delightful little gem in Taipei featuring locovore with a Taiwanese twist. The restaurant sources most of the vegetables served on the menu from its very own farm with the rest specifically curated from the best local suppliers. Simple, unpretentious execution really brings the best flavors out and delights to the palate. Daily catch is highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Farm to table meaty bistro concept bursting with bold flavor. They stay with what they know and are not excessively creative at the expense of taste. Shrimp, bacon-infused chicken and yes, French fries were memorable.
Instantly (and judging by the gaggles in front of the restaurant often) instagrammable store front.
