★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, I’m just as shocked as you are that a cafe attached to the Tsutaya Bookstore at such a premium location barely gets a passing grade. When my friend expressed disbelief that her latte tasted watery, I comforted her by saying that my order of orange juice tasted like it had come out of a cheap can. Short-staffed even on a Saturday evening — with 1/3 of the tables still unoccupied — I began to wonder if we were on a Japanese prank TV show.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit pricey but it’s normal for this area. Ordered a burger plate but the burger didn’t have enough seasoning on it so tasted a bit plain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice setting and view on the 5th floor of the Uni-President department store but the iced macchiato was basically whole milk with too much caramel poured inside it. Ginger honey was better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is really average. Do not recommend to come here for food. There's 90mins time limit so can't really sit down and relax/enjoy the atmosphere/reading. It gets really popular in the afternoon (@2pm ish) so avoid that time period if possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service is very good, food is good quality Japanese cafe food. However there is no wifi in the cafe, so you can borrow three books from the book store area to read while having your meal. If you are looking for a place to get some work done while having lunch, you need to bring your own portable wifi, otherwise this place is not really ideal for working. There is a 90 minutes time limit and also a 10% service charge, so not a cheap meal for lunch in Taipei.
