★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit pricey but the ambiance and the good food make up for it. It seems like an old Japanese building since they have tatami mats. They have a great variety of tea and you can have lunch there too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wistaria Tea Room was an excellent experience! It really gives you the feel of an old style Taiwanese tea room right in the heart of downtown Taipei. The tea was excellent as well as the experience of having one of the experts sit down at our table and teach us the proper methods of steeping the delicate hand rolled tea leaves. For lunch, I had the tea infused pork tenderloin and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best meals I've had in Taipei. It was on the expensive side. About $650NTD for lunch and one pot of tea but worth it to experience once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely atmosphere, am a repeat customer but I would suggest they provide more variety in terms of their meals. The tatami room is the place to sit when you have tea. It's relaxing and great to chill or meet up with friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love it so much, recommend for tea lover can spend time there chilling for more than half a days. Great atmosphere, we sit inside on Tatami floor. Staff teach us step by step how to make the tea and smell the tea. Such a good experience for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tea time ? Well this place is a good place to go ! The atmosphere really awesome ! Food ? All good , i like the pork one & fish as well . Do not worry to not having a good spot to take a pic tho ??? ! Service? Really nice! I love this place for sure

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well preserved tea house dating from 1920. Good value for lunch at NT$390+. 2 main dining rooms: 1 in tatami mat style, low tables, no chairs; other with normal tables & chairs. Service is reserved but they warm up to polite guests. Dinner reservations required, do not trek over there without booking ahead. Lunch is possible without prior booking, but still advised to do so. English is spoken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the world of tea, it is undeniable that Wistaria Tea House is iconic. They are amongst the oldest tea houses in Taipei, the interior decor is beautiful and serene, and their teas (especially oolongs) are amongst the best you will get find anywhere in Taipei. To experience, the tea pot is usually around 300-400NTD ($10-15USD). It was totally worth it. Even years after visiting, I still fondly remember the memory of being there and tasting my fragrant tea. Go and treat yourself! Make sure you have an entire afternoon to dedicate to the traditional ways of brewing Taiwanese tea.
Edit: just went in recently 10/9/2020, and had the 30 year old Dong Ding and Lalashan GABA oolong. Both were lovely, but the Lalashan oolong was incredible - rose aroma, floral, fruity, thick texture
