★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have to say, compare to all the locations in Hsinchu&Jiubei area, this is by far the best World Gym location for what it offers. Comfortable and smooth layout, clean and well maintained equipments. Would not visit other locations in Hsinchu, even for the pool access, which I found the Big City location having murky water, and Jiubei location having very awkward layout, that is, change room and shower are on different floors and pool right by entrance...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent facilities, awesome trainers. A bit run down and they don't seem too interested in keeping things "shiny". For example, the foot straps on the bikes have come off and haven't been replaced for years, and the wallpaper in the change rooms is peeling and discoloured. That being said, they have decent rates, lovely saunas (except that local women don't really "get" sauna étiquette and treat it like a tea party- lots of noisy chatter), spacious and varied workout areas and equipment, good classes, etc. The trainers are great, especially Rico.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of three branches in Hsinchu city. This is a large gym with a wide selection of facilities and is also the quietest of the branches. However the equipment is quite old and poorly maintained. It’s not unusual to find a squeaky or wobbly machine. Basic things like the stickers showing weights are missing on lots of equipment. There are some interesting facilities like the cardio theater (movies projected on a big screen as you exercise), but again the equipment needs work. As a side note it’s also hard to find a place to park your scooter nearby.
