Smoked duck and braised ribs are outstanding delicious.
This restaurant can easily send you back to the ancient world where you have to do nothing but enjoy your tasty dishes with really good tea.
There also is Gu Qin performance on every Saturday evening too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to try traditional Taiwanese food and tea. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday without a reservation. It was quite busy but the staff was very friendly though and asked us to wait a little bit so that they could arrange a table for us. I ordered the smoked duck set which was really nice. The tea set was a little complicated but fun to try. Nice calm atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely beautiful tea house in the middle of busy Taichung. I was actually really shocked how nice and serene and peaceful it was on the inside. The Taiwanese tea service was very nice albeit a little expensive. I've had other good tea services for a little cheaper in other places, but it was fine. The rooms are air conditioned and the food was quite good! I would recommend to visit here at least once if you're in Taichung and want to take a break from the hustle and bustle.
On a side note, the koi fish in the pond are kind of terrifying. When you walk by they gape their mouths open looking for food and it totally looks like they'll jump out of the water and onto the bridge. Beware. Walk by quickly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice experience. Food is fresh and healthy... but a bit over priced. The tatami style seating overlooking the pond and wooden walkway is serene. The staff is professional. We enjoyed the tea ceremony experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a neat place to visit and have tea and lunch! The server demonstrated how to properly make tea and then we were able to do it on our own. We got the tea set for two which came with a delicious Alishan oolong tea. We also got two set lunches of salmon and mackerel. Both were absolutely delicious. This sprawling tea house has several semi private tatami rooms in a beautiful garden setting. The front desk staff even offered to call us a cab and made sure the driver knew where we were headed. Staff speaks limited english but the menu has english subtitles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing tea house. As thou your being transported back in time. Rustic & beautiful. The menu is kept simple but yet ample. Reasonable pricing. The staff are extremely friendly & thoughtful. They would rearrange our shoes facing outwards once we enter the rooms. Impeccable service.
Oh, don’t forget to feed the fishes & tortoises.
Highly recommended.
