★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 15-5-2019hey everybody,just check it out if it’s available or not at information center in Wulai,because when I was there,I couldn’t get into the free public hot spring. And the staff of information center said that now it’s closed.
Maybe it’s because of cyclone .
Anyway at that time ,this public hot spring was closed.
But you can enjoy a little hot spring (the place to make your foot get in)beside the information center.
And if you want to get into a hot spring for free,just go to the riverbed located in a little bit of the bridge that connects the old street and seven 11.
that is the best place for free:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wulai is a fantastic spot to relax with friends and family while soaking up the local atmosphere and sampling some authentic aboriginal cuisine. If you’re looking for a short weekend getaway, I highly recommend it.

Really bad access from downtown of Taipei.
However, if you stay a night or travel near the resort that is not a bad plan.
I do not recommend to the people who visit taiwan for the first time, but if you have experience several times, it would be good option

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hot springs have been BLOCKED OFF!! By the government at the hotspring Hotels request. ;-( *_#+¶∆••~!!! And are now nearly impossible to access. We made it, and it was wonderful. Until the police came and we had to leave. Will have to go hunt up new Hotsprings in the mountains. So sad really. What will they do with all that tourism infrastructure if nobody goes because it's now just taking a bath in a tub in a hotel? Which I can do at home and not pay 800-2300NTD!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hot spring right beside the chilly and fast stream River. Popular with locals as well. Went on weekday and not many people. Change before you go down. There's portable toilets at the top or go to Wulai Trolley to change. We needed to squeeze up a local bus even on weekday so I suggest don't go on weekends.
