Bit challenging but pleasant, and the views are amazing.
The entrance is right on the shop's corner. We came there by Uber from last blue line MRT station. On the way back you can ask someone from the hikers to take you back to the MRT or take an Uber again :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing hike! It’s quite challenging, but if you take your time and are not afraid of heights it is not so difficult. The view you will get at the top of the mountain and also at other locations is amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wuliaojian 五寮尖 Trailhead ? A hardcore and death-defying epic climb! Rope, rocks, ridges, more rope, cliff and great nature view. Name it and this trail will give you all except water :(
So, be prepared phyiscally and mentally. You will face so many challenging rope+ridges combo. No turning back.
And, get hydrated. Bring more waters! No source of water along the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning hike. We were told that it would take us 6 hours but we finished it in less than 4.
There are many rope courses, some of which you cannot avoid doing. I would only plan on coming if you feel comfortable climbing and getting your hands dirty.
Also, plan to come of a clear day. The views from the different ridges you find are incredible and made the hike that much better. If there is ANY forcast of rain, avoid! This will not be fun.
For those who don't have vehicles (like me) we took MRT and then a yellow cab. They know the mountain name. On the way back we were able to book an Uber who drove from the town to pick us up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite hike in Taiwan, A lot of beautiful tree, the view is stunning on the top of wuliaojianshan. can be pretty scary if you are scared of height like me. If you dont like height (dont take the shortcut in front of the trail sign 7). I recommend to go there with someone, its real slippery when its wet outside. But really amazing place !
