★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located right near the edge of Taipei City, Xianjiyan (仙跡岩) and Jingmeishan (景美山) offer a convenient escape into the mountains. The wood, concrete, and dirt trail network is well maintained and consists of a surprising number of paths for its size. For trail runners, it can easily be incorporated into runs along the riverside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's super convenient for hiking nearest to the Taipei downtown. The route is not too hard or long for everyone to enjoy. Most walk ways are coverd by shadows of trees is a plus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The start of the trail is easy to access, but there are only a few alternative trails down if you don't want to go all the way to the end. Few of the exit points are near public transportation, and the trail is very long, so you should plan your route and you're way back carefully. It is good for a quick walk you and down from the Jingmei area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite offering a relaxing hike to the top with breathtaking views of the scenic landscape enveloping the trail, there simply isn’t much to do; too few paths exist to offer an exhilarating climb, with all journeys seeming to culminate at the arrival of the elevated temple which gracefully sits atop the mountain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice and easy trail to tackle. You don’t need to be an expert hiker. It has some steps but also lots of slopes and nothing is too steep. The views at the top are beautiful. I went in the morning and got a great sunny view of southern Taipei.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was easy to access. About 20-30mins. Good for family with children. You can see lots of wild squirrels along the trail.

It occurred to me to go hiking this morning, and I was just randomly navigating the Internet. XienJiYen Trail just showed up on the screen.
Recommend you to come here if you don’t have much time, but still want to get close to the hill. The height is just 144m, so the hike would only take you around 1 hour.
