★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This big park by the road is set to commemorate Xiaolin Village which was destroyed in 2009 summer by a strong typhoon. Its relics is still buried under thick land downhills.
Although the village no longer exists, this place records its name and the history for teaching and remembrance. The route is well designed and public facilities are nicely maintained. Visitors can drop by the park to look around and learn more about it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surrounded by beautiful mountains, this is however the saddest place that the disastrous land slide during typhoon Morakot in 2008 took place which resulted more than 500+ fatalities.
This is the place to experience the quite, peaceful, and brutal faces of the Nature.
I rode bike all the way from Zuoying to here to pay my sincere tribute. RIP.
