★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 從新田登山步道四角涼亭後方下去，走到停車場有設置廁所，沿一池潭水小徑走上木階梯，後段是鵝卵石鋪設步道，清幽小徑很涼爽到達虎山亭，有叉路可走回程，或是可直走到大湖山，很棒的健走步道。
Go down from behind the pavilion at the four corners of the Xintian hiking trail, walk to the parking lot with toilets, walk up the wooden stairs along a pool of water trails, and the trails are paved with cobblestones. The quiet trails are very cool to reach the Hushan Pavilion. There is a fork to walk back. , Or you can go straight to Dahushan, a great walking trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Less crowded than the DaKen Trails, this area has a well developed trail system (see photos of map), with lots of nice views of Taichung and area looking more east. Lots of starting locations are available and hence parking options. Multiple loops or simple out and backs can be found.
