"Xikou Station" opened on July 15, 1911. The East County Railway Widening Project built an existing station in 1988. On March 31, 1971, the Xikou Riverbed Tunnel south of the station was completed and opened to traffic. It was reduced to a greeting station on March 24, 1975. On November 14, 2002, the Xinhedi Tunnel was rerouted and stopped handling passenger transportation, so the station was abandoned. In January 2004, the station building was demolished. Xikou Station is located in Shoufeng Township, Hualien County, Taiwan. It is a railway station on the Taitung Line of the Taiwan Railway Administration. According to the statistics of Taiwan Railways in 2001, there were only 11 people left in and out of Xikou Station every day.
