坪林國小具有百年歷史，校地雖小卻擁有豐碩的教學資源。
本區內坪雙公路上的闊瀨國小及漁光國小已分別於民國74年、95年併入本校成為分校，使本校成為坪林鄉唯一的小學，故學區遍及坪林全區，幅員遼闊，大部分山區學生都仰賴鄉公所提供之免費社區巴士接駁上放學。

Pinglin Elementary School has a century-old history. Although the school is small, it has abundant teaching resources.
The Kuose Elementary School and Yuguang Elementary School on the Pingshuang Highway in this area have been merged into the school in 1974 and 1995 respectively, making this school the only primary school in Pinglin Township, so the school district covers the entire Pinglin District. The area is vast, and most of the mountain students rely on the free community buses provided by the township public school for school.

The large side door is open so that tourists do not know whether they can enter the workers directly inside the tourists: they ca n’t come in here. The quality of workers hired by the school really only reduces the enrollment rate
