★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 百年歷史的小學，對面恰好是縱貫線鐵道，學校的操場在非上課時間，是當地人跑步運動的好地方，但感覺有點小，對小朋友來說可能是合適大小的，校門出來左手邊就有公車站及山佳陸橋，山佳陸橋同時可跨過中山二路的馬路，也可跨過縱貫鐵道，對孩童來說是安全的設計。

校景特色：
校門上有校徽圖案，川堂的4組校訓標示，創校90周年紀念的親親寶貝意象石雕，花園内的羔羊跪乳雕像及水井唧筒，古典升旗臺（應該是日治期的作品），校墻上的精美彩繪圖案，豐富的兒童游樂設施，特殊造型裝飾的學生榮譽榜，還有90周年的歷史標記。校舍及綠蔭庭園，彩繪升旗臺仍有司令臺的舊時代標記。
