★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found Xing Yuen through the internet from the United States. The rest of our family, and the taxi that drove us from Taoyuan airport to Taipei, didn't believe us that we were visiting a tea farm in Yilan.
Enjoyed the experience. Stella was very knowledgeable about the tea making process. We went through the entire process - from picking the tea, softening the tea leaves under the sun, to cooking it in the wok (very hot), to curling and then finally drying the tea. We even got to take 2 packages of tea home with us.
10/10 would visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This time we are going to have an activity at Xing Yuan Tea Farm. We learn how to pick up tea leaves from the farm. We need to wear farmer’s equipment to protect ourselves against the sunlight and insects.
After picking up several tea leaves, we are back at the main hall to do another activity, and I think this is the best part. We learn how to make an ice cream tea.
After mixing the ingredients, we need to shake the whole container as we are not using any freezer. For 10 minutes we need to keep shaking it. The instructor however, playing some fun music so that we can enjoy ourselves in this activity. We dance while shaking the container, and I guarantee your family will love this.
Afterward we can enjoy our homemade ice cream tea. It would be perfect if you enjoy ythe ice cream with the beef tongue biscuit they have.
