It wasn't open when I went there during the Golden Week holidays in April 2021. It's a pity that I could only see in front of the gate for the time being.

History repeats itself, but with a new group of members... The fate is the same as the monument on Zhishanyan. As soon as the new regime came, for political considerations, the old anti-Japanese monument was destroyed and a new one was created. Therefore, the master silently put the old monument into the 2017 Sand Sculpture Exhibition... Listening to me, besides a bitter smile, I still have a bitter smile ?!

This is a bit strange in Binhai Park where tickets are required!
The Yanliao Anti-Japanese Monument is located in the Yanliao Seaside Park, where Prince Nohyu of Japan led an army of the Guards to land and marched into Taiwan and began the history of colonial rule. The Japanese army also set up a landing monument at the Yanliao Landing Site. After the restoration of Taiwan, the town hall abolished the original monument and rebuilt the anti-Japanese monument to remind the Chinese people of the military crimes of the Japanese invasion of Taiwan and remember the heroic spirit of the anti-Japanese martyrs.

I'm curious? Why is a national monument - a monument charged for walking 10 meters over it?
The beach is BOT, because it is a beach that needs to be managed, I can understand, but an inscription wants to let children understand the historical changes in the past, present and future, but is stopped by the manufacturer to charge the entrance fee or discount the minimum consumption? ? Or is the land privately owned? If the people have to pay taxes to maintain the monuments, then the entrance fee should not be charged... Please repay the public wealth to the people to have the legal right to watch!

The Yanliao Anti-Japanese Monument is located in the privately-run Yanliao Seaside Park (Blue Bay Beach Recreation Park). The entrance ticket office is on the right side of the parking lot. Adult tickets are 100 yuan.

May 29, 1895. The prince of Kitashirakawa Palace Nohisa led a guard division to land and attack Taiwan, and the Umi War lasted for several months. The Japanese army built the "Australian Landing Monument" here. The gun body was made from the spoils of war. The height of the gun body was five feet six inches. , The iron platform on which the gun body is placed is four feet and six inches high; there is also a three-layer stone base underneath, which is five feet and five inches long.
This monument was destroyed by the people after the Republic of China took over Taiwan. Later, to commemorate the anti-Japanese history of the Yiwei War, the original monument was used in 1975 to be converted into the "Yanliao Anti-Japanese Monument."
Yanliao Seaside Park has the longest golden quartz sand beach in Taiwan. It stretches about 4 kilometers from Fulong Beach. The beach covers an area of 80 hectares. It is the widest place in the northeast corner. Glue is recognized by the World Sand Sculpture Association as the most suitable beach for sand sculpture and sand play activities in Taiwan. Many international sand sculpture competitions have been held here.
In recent years, the most famous place here is the Yanliao International Sand Sculpture Festival. International masters have carved giant sand sculptures of the magic castle on this beach.
