★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yum yum yum! Don't miss it if you're in Hualien. They sell only one thing here - fried spring onion pancake, but you can order it with or without egg, and choose between cooked and half cooked egg. There's always a long queue here. Be patient. The result is well worth the effort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These are absolutely delicious, and a must-eat when in Hualien. Many reviews say the line can be very long, but we stopped by around 3 and were immediately served, so it just depends when you go.
Fair warnings! They come out super hot, so watch your tongue. Also, be careful when biting into it in general. I was not careful (or warned) and as a result had egg splurt out of the damned thing all over my pants. 小心 - Don’t lose your precious yolk!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delicious! Make sure you get it with the spicy sauce, it's not too hot! Get twice as many as you think you want because you'll wish you had more but you won't want to wait in line again! We went around 3:30 on a Wednesday and waited for about 20 min.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My goodness. Don't go on a day the other truck is closed! The blue truck was closed on the day we went and everybody lined up for the yellow truck. We were about 30 numbers away and it took exactly an hour (in the rain) because one guy bought 30 of these. It's pretty pricey for what it is at 35NT per with a running egg. But it was fried crispy to perfection probably with lard. We each had two and it was very satisfying and thankfully we did not have a heart attack from this very unhealthy food. Would be great if the lines did not take an hour. But I would line up again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's quite oily but I still love it as its really nice. Regretted only buying 1 to share with hubby but too lazy to queue again for more. Order more, you won't regret. You go up, take a queue number and wait for your number to be called. Then you tell the staff your orders. You can choose between fully cooked egg or still has soft yolk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely worth the wait and huge line - be prepared in the sweltering heat and grab a lemon jelly drink across the street after you place your order ^^ The deep fried congyoubing is crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the interior, paired with a goey egg yolk that bursts as you bite into it, enveloped with flavorful hot sauce ... it's actually a perfect food. Must try!! Wish we had ordered twice as much ?

You can definitely find a way-better-tasted deep fired pancake in some other places like Taichung or Taipei

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be there early & patient is required as expect long queue due to customers huge order. Worth the wait though. Make yours with egg as taste is divine. Oily nevertheless but great food is worth the calories.
