It is the origin and symbol of Yingge's place name. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to reach Yinggeshi from the mountain pass, but all are steep stairs. The viewing platform next to Yingge Rock overlooks the Yingge Street area, and the view is not bad. However, I personally feel that the overall environmental maintenance and planning can be improved.

The trailhead is about a 15-minute walk from Yingge Station, followed by a steep staircase If you continue to walk to the hundred-year-old banyan tree, that section is not easy to go.

The lush, secluded trails are the reward. After seeing Yingge Stone, There is no problem with the knee, and the strength of the leg can be used to challenge the steep and severe route after (I will have iron legs the next day), Otherwise, take it as soon as you see it, and prepare to go back!

A ten-minute walk from Beiying Park, you can enjoy the Yingge Stone. Go up to the top of Yingge Stone Mountain. There are uneven pits on the rock wall of Yingge Stone, and it is said that shell mound fossils have been found in the belly cave. The larger cave is enshrined with a statue of a god, and there is a stone tablet erected in the second year of the Showa era (1927) during the Japanese occupation period, which reads "Parrot Stone". Now called "Yingge", it should be transformed from "Parrot". Yingge Stone Mountain (H164m, unknown cornerstone), Yingge Stone (H113m, protruding rock)

An interesting trail. Some rope sections can be tricky. Lots of crickets, grasshoppers, and other skittery critters, but nothing dangerous found.

Yingge Rock is a large bouder rising from a mountainside in the northem part of Yngge District The boulder is shaped ike an eagle (ving in Chinese, and this is what gives the rock-and the datric-ts name. I is pesent form, the name Yonge mears 'eagle song" Yingge Rock has the most legendary connotations of any site in Yingge District. One of its most widely known legend is this: "In the old days this great boulder often ejected a foggy miasma that blocked out the sky, confusing people so that they lost her way. The Gazetteer of Danshui Sub-prefecture for 1871 described the area this way. "Yingge Mountain, in Sanjaoyong the old name of Sarxia, which encompassed Yingge) is sad to spit out a miasmic log this fog caused the Zheng amy lo lose the way of its advance, so they shot it off at the neck." What this means is that when the Ming Dynasty patriot Zheng Cheng-gong (Koxinga) was leading his forces through this area, miasmic vapors emitted by Yingge Rook caused the army to lose its way, so Zheng commanded his soldiers to shoot the rock in the neck with a cannon, whereupon the vapors dispersed and the army was able to continue its advance. Another folk legend has it that wo giant birds were fighting in the area at the time, afficing great suffering on the people, when Zhang Cheng-gong heard about this he went to Taiping Bridge in Shulin, where he drew his bow and shot the two birds. When they died, the birds were transformed into Yingge (Eagle) Rock and Mt. Yuan in neighboring Sarnia To provide a better place for viewing the surrounding landscapes, the lookout platform above Yingge Rock was completed in 2007 thanks to the efforts of the district office. To preserve the local environment al of hematenals for the platform, which is about 23 square meters in area, were carried to the sile by hand. The surroundings were tidied up and railings were installed. From the platform, visitors can look on the top of Yingge Rock right in front and, in the distance, the Dahan River and Mt. Yuan. The length of the Yingge Rock Trail is about kilometer. Along this nature trail yoU wil find a pavilion where you can stop and take a rest You might also want to walk the Sunlong Tral and Mt. Nuzao Trail.
