★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 位於臨海二路；捷運西子灣站1號出口斜對面的這棟西式老建築，建於1917年，最早為打狗支廳所在地，後改制為高雄郡役所，隨後又因行政區劃改制，高雄郡改為高雄市，且市役所遷至湊町的四町目(今哈瑪星代天宮)，而將此建築改為高雄州警察署。
此建築於二戰時曾遭受波及，所幸只有屋頂受損，戰後被民間貿易公司收購並修復受損部分。
Located on Linhai Second Road; this old Western-style building diagonally opposite Exit 1 of Xiziwan Station of the MRT was built in 1917. It was originally the location of the Dagou Branch Office, which was later converted into the Kaohsiung County Office, and then reorganized due to administrative divisions. The county was changed to Kaohsiung City, and the city office was moved to Shimachimu (now Hama Singdai Temple) in Minato-machi, and the building was changed to the Kaohsiung State Police Department.
This building was affected during World War II. Fortunately, only the roof was damaged. After the war, it was acquired by a private trading company and repaired the damaged part.
