This is definitely a popular spot for breakfast. You will have to hunt down for seats but luckily we found a table for 2 quickly. Their menu is in both English and Chinese along with photos which is extremely helpful for us. We ordered the egg, fried bread stick wrapped in roasted cake, radish cake, pork bun and a cold soy milk drink. The egg, bread stick in roasted cake was so delicious that we ordered seconds and same goes to the radish cake. The cold soy milk was very refreshing but sadly both my boyfriend and I were having allergic reactions (we knew we are allergic to soy milk, clearly we risking our lives out here to try everything haha) so we weren’t able to finish but it was super good. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area again!

Still the best traditional breakfast in Taipei in my opinion. The service is fast so almost always you'll find seat without needing to wait. The place is clean and you can see the open kitchen where the cooks are preparing your food. So other than taste good food you also get to see what "traditional" cooking is like. You must try 燒餅油條夾蛋 (Chinese head with fried stick and egg pancake), 鹹豆漿 (salty soy milk, it's seasoned with couple of traditional stuff like Chinese pickles, fried stick, shredded dried meat, etc), and 鹹甜飯糰 (sweet and savoury rice rolls). I wouldn't really recommend the 小籠包 (small steamed meat buns). Highly recommended!

The very best place to have authentic breakfast! The restaurant is easy reachable from Da-an Station and has seating inside and outside. Ordering seems tricky, but you have to go in, get an English menu and a piece of paper and then note what you want. Stand in line, give the paper, you’ll get the food and pay. We went there many times and tried all of the food. If you’re new to this, start with the sweet soymilk. Get a bread stick. And enjoy!

I love the sesame flat bread, deep-fried Chinese donut with the hot soy milk?

Yong He Soy Milk King is one of few places in Taipei serving traditional Taiwanese breakfast. It does not open only for breakie, it actually opens 24 hours a day, 6.5 days a week closing only for 12 hours after Sunday midday. The place and its ordering system was slightly overwhelmed for us as tourists visiting for the first time. But we figured it out afterall. Worth noting that they don't really speak English. This was our first go at Taiwanese famous Salty Soy Milk, a bit weird to our liking but we enjoyed the Sweet Soy Milk, Xiao Long Bao, Egg Pancake and Fried Chinese Donut. Prices are very reasonable, and they have English menu. Recommended.

Quick service and great quality breakfast food. I recommend fresh soy milk with shaobing 燒餅. Fresh off the grill, it’s flakey, crispy, and aromatic. As with all bread, there’s a special experience you can feel only when eating it immediately. The savory soy milk is tasty, but hot! I would split it with a friend and get more items. Their xiaolongbao are the meatiest I’ve found. It’s good to fulfill a craving, but not a specialty. 4 - Happy to come here regularly

A Taiwanese classic, but I thought it was just okay. Both the pork floss egg pancake and sweet soy milk were quite bland. Perhaps it had to do with the fact we went at 3AM? Not sure if it’s better in the daytime. Overall, I was underwhelmed.

Breakfast store specialize on 燒餅. the skin is dry with multilayers of dough. Bake to perfection. The sesame is bake in to top layer. Egg is not greasy, make it a perfect 蛋餅。soy bean milk is pretty thick.
