This place is one of the best noodle shops I've been to. The small portion is big enough to satisfy your hunger and there's a lot of beef in the soup. My favorite is the tomato beef soup! 這裡很好吃！

Restaurant is clean and has A/C. Soup is delicious with very tender beef. Chewy hand-cut noodles and generous portions are a plus.

Popular hand shaved noodles made with fresh ingredients. Best for groups of 2-3 to eat together in their cozy seatings. Tomato beef noodle in soup is a must try!

Serves great 刀削麺. If you are foodie and want to eat more places, small size is better.(you can eat it all but you will not have enough space in your stomach..!)

I’ve been going here for years - and am determined to visit this shop whenever I return to Taipei. And it remains one of my favorite places to go for noodles in Taipei. Their knife cut noodles (刀削面) are always the perfect level of chewiness (QQ) and are the real star of the show. If you’ve never had knife cut noodles before, they tend to be thicker than traditional noodles - and because of that, also chewier and more flavorful. To be entirely honest, there are better places for beef soup or zha jiang mian if you’re just going for flavor. But their noodles make up for it all. This shop’s bean paste noodle (zha jiang mian, 炸醬麵) sauce could have more depth to it, but after adding in some of their spicy sauce, this dish is a knockout - largely because of their amazing noodles. I always enjoy their beef noodle soup (牛肉麵) as well - the broth is light and not too oily, serving as a perfect vehicle to get those tasty knife cut noodles in my mouth. Love this place and will keep on coming back for those noodles!

這是我最喜歡的午餐餐廳！This might be my most visited restaurant in Taipei. As I come to Dongmen quite often it has become a standard lunch spot for me. I love their 炸醬麵 (Zhajiangmian). The tomato soup and beef noodles are quite good as well. Great side dishes as well.

One of my favorite shops in all of Taipei. Their zha jiang mian is simply outstanding, and it pairs perfectly with a bowl of their delicious tomato soup.
