Best Traditional market in Taiwan

Here you can find rather chip fruits, fish, meat and etc., if you want to visit here, I recommend you come here at around 5 p.m. , sometimes you can find some traditional foods too. I think it is great to visit here if you just walk by, but if this market is far away from you, I won't recommend to visit because the street is short.

Really good deals here too, just follow the crowds. Oh and there are many meat, fish, and roasted meat stalls here. You can get a full meal.

Being from the States, weekend farmer's market is the closest I'll come to anything like Taiwan's open air markets but they're nowhere as bountiful or interesting as this place. So during my biannual visits to Taipei, I purposely stay in nearby homestays so I can stroll up and down this market daily. I love seeing all the yummy fresh fruits and veggies on display each day and buying some to make healthy meals each evening. I also enjoy watching the interactions between customers and vendors. Plus, some vendors are only there once or twice a week/month selling special gadgets or clothing accessories. You never know what new things you'll find each day. The place is so full of life, it invigorates me!

You may come here closer to noon so you gonna get much discounted for everything as vendors must clear out their stuff and same 7pm around in the evening. Best prices guaranteed. ?

So much cheaper than buying groceries at the supermarket as groceries in Taiwan is surprisingly not cheap. This place has become a regular for us to go to for veggies, super value for money and fresh ones all the time. Will miss this place as we are moving apartments soon.
