★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where dining is convenient. By dining, I mean going to a restaurant and sit down while, well, dining. Not the night market type where there's no space to relax.
Restaurants offer a wide variety of food, from shaved ice to ramen to German cuisine to traditional Taiwanese food.
Other shopping options include fruit, a bookstore, supermarket besides the regular clothing and apparels.
Recommend as the first couple stops to visit in Taiwan, for it's a good mix of foreign style and traditional Taiwanese. Good for starters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The YungKung business/tourism district is focused along the YungKung street of course. The entire district is much larger, with XinYi Road to the north, QingTian St. to the east, JinHua St. to the south, and LiShui St. to the west. There are countless shops and restaurants tugged in alleys everywhere. The business is down due to shortages of tourists from China and the pandemic, but there are plenty of surprises waiting to be discovered. One could easily spent hours in the area. There are plenty of people during the weekend and holidays plus the lunch and dinner crowds. If you could visit here during the weekdays, it is truly worth it.
