listed as a monument, but… It seems that there is no maintenance around... Yuli Shrine (commonly known as Yuli Shrine) is a shrine built during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan. Located in Yuli Street, Yuli County, Hualien Port Hall (Yuli Town, Hualien County), On July 23, 2008, the Hualien County Government designated it as a county historic site in the name of "Remains of Yuli Society". In the 1939 "Yuli County Highlights", it was mentioned that there was no "shrine" in Yuli County (referring to the shrine with a rank higher than the Wuge shrine), But there are three clubs: Yuli, Chunri, and Guanyin Mountain. At present, there are 2 torii gates, 17 stone lanterns and pilgrimage paths left in the shrine ruins. And there is a monument of loyalty, Among the existing shrine ruins in Hualien County, it can be said that a considerable number of cultural relics are preserved. In the third year of the Showa era (1928), the Yuli Society held a town seat ceremony. Since the local area is quite far from Hualien Harbor Street (now Hualien City) and Taitung Street (now Taitung City), Therefore, police officers such as inspections were entrusted to be in charge of the related affairs of the shrine. rather than being run by other shrine clerics. During the Japanese Occupation, on some important occasions, when the police team expeditioned the nearby Bunun and other aboriginal people, and men went out for military service, Will go to Yuli Society to hold prayer activities.

Hello everyone, I am Zhiming, a gamer~ Today I came to the shrine in Yuli, Hualien⛩️! When I first came, I wanted to say that I could still see the appearance of the shrine, but really only the ruins were left... It's a pity~ but I can really appreciate the historical and cultural value. The following is the information found on the Internet: Yuli Shrine in 1928 Completed (Showa 3), the main hall has collapsed. At present, only the Omotesando stairs, stone lanterns and two torii gates remain. It is the best preserved shrine ruins in Hualien County. Yuli Shrine has been buried in the wild smoke and vines, and it has become a mysterious relic lost in history. Until 1998, a group of young literary and historical workers in Yuli took the initiative to initiate a clean-up activity. Combined with the strength of the local people, it was possible to hide in the woods. The ruins of the shrine in between are rediscovered. Remember to bring mosquito repellent when you come, as little black mosquitoes are rampant! !

The Yuri Shrine ruins are right on Google But the place to go up is to enter from the residential area in front It is recommended to search for a way to enter next to No. 27, Xibian Road You can see the torii gate and walk up the road There are two torii gates and some lanterns left in the ruins But you can still see the architectural style of the Japanese occupation period Going up the stairs along the access road is surrounded by large trees But unfortunately, there are too many buildings on the side that are particularly inaccessible. There are still iron sheets and garbage left on the top, it looks like a mess The trail above is well organized and the stone lanterns are still preserved for taking pictures The top is the grassland and the landscape area is well organized Only the ruins of the collapsed shrine can be seen with carvings on the stone Nearby trees have grown, making the vision less clear But it's a pretty good place to come up, I hope the maintenance can be better

It's a pity place, but you can come here, it's not far from the station, and it's quite easy to walk slowly. The ruins of the main hall and the worship hall are no longer there. If there is no photo of 1931 on the introduction board next to it, it is difficult to imagine the original appearance. The entrance torii and the adjacent hinterland are covered by the houses, and the Biaozhong Monument can only be seen from a distance. The main hall is located at a relatively high height and can be overlooked slightly, but the scenery is still covered by a lot of low shrubs, and there are a few reddish maple leaves. The most beautiful thing is that the stone ladder goes up to the front of the main hall. Hope it can be well preserved and organized.
